Students can now chatter cheaper with a 40% Discount on
Pay-As-You-Talk Mobile Phones when they open a New Royal
Bank of Scotland Student Account
Students can indulge their favourite accessory when they
open and use a Royal Bank of Scotland Student Royalties
Account before 31 August 2004. Account holders will receive
a 40% discount off the price of the full range of Vodafone
pay-as-you-talk mobiles worth a maximum saving of £120
on Vodafone's top of the range handset.
The offer is available to all students opening a new account
with The Royal Bank of Scotland, whether they are already
in their studies or starting later this year. Savings of
between £16 - £120 can be made, depending on
which handset they choose, ranging from £40 - £300.
Given the discount, students may even be able to treat themselves
to an upgraded handset based on their original budget.
The Student Bank Account
The Royal Bank of Scotland, unlike any other bank in the
UK, allows students to open accounts as soon as they have
been offered a place, whether conditional or unconditional.
Students are advised to open their accounts as soon as possible,
as Andrea Aitken-Paige, Head of Student Banking,
explains: "Having early access to your account is invaluable
as a student. It allows student loan payments to be made
quickly, giving swifter access to cash for all those student
essentials. This can alleviate some of the financial pressure
felt when leaving home for the first time."
It also gives students access to an account, which has
been designed to offer benefits and discounts totally in
tune with a student's lifestyle. The account provides financial
support over the long term with benefits, such as fee free
overdrafts, and discounts off entertainment, such as nightclubs
and DVDs. With a new mobile phone in your pocket, you can
also utilise Royal Banks newest service and top
it up at one of their many cash machines UK-wide.
These are offers that students will really use.
